Capricorn Motel Royale

This isn't a 5-star hotel, it's a cheap roadside motel. But for that, it's absolutely wonderful. The room was reasonably big, clean, and well-stocked. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom/shower was decent, the A/C was very good. Nice furniture, some available space. It felt comfortable and safe. And the outside is charming, with beautiful flowers and nice places to sit and chill. Sure, it's a bit outdated and run down. Some walls with paint peeling or cracks, and the showerhead is poor. But it's very well maintained, and we had a comfortable and fun stay for half the price of a big city hotel. We'll definitely want to stay here again whenever we're in the area.

Nice basic motel, clean rooms and grounds. Friendly staff members, quiet. Nice location. They have a nice fire pit seating area too.

Rooms are kinda basic but nice and clean, very good location, close to cruise ship its right across the road, the beds are very soft linens and very comfortable, I didnt want to get out if bed! Bathroom is clean, it has a stand up shower that had good pressure and was well equipped with towels essentials and a hair dryer, the only thing that was kinda weird was the toilet was very small, I found it very low, however I'm 6 feet tall, I would highly recommend this place, there was only one office staff but he was polite and very accommodating.

Ivy Lea is a small little village. It was quiet. The rooms were nice and clean. They're a little small but that was okay for us. It's not too far from Ganaoque or Kingston.

Our plans changed and we needed to find a place to stay near the Thousand Islands Border Crossing at the last minute. We were so happy to find such a gem. This is a "classic" old style motel hidden on a quiet street. The room was very clean. You can walk to a boat landing and watch the sunset over the water. There is a cruise tour boat nearby. They have turned one room into a kitchenette for everyone to use. We did not check it out as we only stayed one night, but that is a nice feature. The room refrigerator is a good size with a small freezer compartment. I am used to staying in chain motels near busy roadways. This location was very quiet. We got an excellent nights sleep. I rate places by how well they fill their niche. This place does an excellent job for the category. I would have no problem staying there again.

Stayed here with a friend for a scuba diving trip. Was the perfect hotel and was directly across from the dock where the dive Charter would pick us up. Motel was very clean and pride of ownership is very evident. The owner was incredibly nice and accommodating. For an added bonus... check out the hamburger food truck that the owner runs right next door! Amazing food with some non-traditional offerings! The Somosa's were amazing but the burgers were NOT what I was expecting from a food truck! Juicy and home made and very delicious!!! 5-star on the food truck as well!!! can't wait to visit Capricorn again!!!

The motel is darling. The vibe is that of an old seventies road side motel. The rooms and grounds were clean. The beds were very comfy. My only recommendations would be to have someone with customer service skills greet the guests. The attendant was not personable at all.
